Digital Art Demo Space:
Interactive Installation

2024

I created an interactive installation piece for a performance show at the Digital Art Demo Space (DADS) in Chicago, IL. This piece was a culmination of a year’s work through the Dadlines monthly meetup series. I used a Kinect Azure and point cloud data to create a dynamic ambient art piece to supplement the performance.

The main artist, Moth Cock from Ohio, perform a strain of improvised music that bridges the chasm between the free-jazz tradition and the noise underground. The duo processes live clarinet and trumpet through rudimentary effects into damaged squalls of electronic chaos set to mutated rhythms. Their unique performance tactics yield unforgettable live performances that have been documented on the grooves and spools of an increasing number of physical objects since their formation in 2009.
